The Center for Adult Transition believes everyone deserves purposeful academic and workforce opportunities in which one feels productive and prospers. The mission for Hudson County Community College’s Center for Adult Transition is consistent with the overall College mission and provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities up to the age of twenty-four with the supports and resources for successful transition of secondary school to academic pathways, workforce training, skill development, and/or independent living in service of helping them meet their personal and professional goals. Our overall mission is to inspire those who are developmentally and intellectually challenged to transition into an academic certificate or degree program or to the workforce. We will create and illuminate opportunities for HCCC’s CAT students that advance social equity, environmental stewardship, and economic success into adulthood. HCCC is committed to removing academic and nonacademic barriers and making all our community feel “Hudson is Home”.
