Moderator: <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/christinegalib/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Christine Galib: Senior Director, Accelerator Programs at The Ion </a>
Dr. Christine Galib serves as the Senior Director of Accelerator Programs at The Ion. In this role, she directs The Ion Smart and Resilient Cities Accelerator, which supports selected startups as they develop and deploy technology that connects ideas, people, and communities in Houston. Backed by the Mayor’s Office, the City of Houston, Microsoft, Intel, and TX/RX, the Accelerator launched its first cohort in September 2019 and second cohort in April 2020. Christine is the founder of Plan My Plate, which offers leadership, management, creativity, innovation, and wellness consulting. A Teach For America alumna with experience in investment management, pre-medical studies, and educational consulting, Christine holds her bachelor’s from Princeton University, master’s from the University of Pennsylvania, and doctorate from Drexel University. Her speaking, writing, and research interests include entrepreneurial mindset development, creativity, innovation, leadership, mindfulness, wellness, and apologetics. A Northeast native, Christine wasn’t born in Texas, but she got here as fast as she could!

Courtney Cogdill is the Project Manager for The Ion Smart and Resilient Cities Accelerator at The Ion. She is a Texas native with a touch of West Coast flare. While Courtney grew up in California, her goal was always to come back home to Texas. That goal was accomplished about four years ago when she moved to Houston to work in the up and coming innovation scene in the healthcare industry. After managing events and operations at an accelerator for the Texas Medical Center, she set her sights on the tech industry and made the switch! Throughout her career, Courtney has seen over 100 startup companies come to Houston. Applying her background and expertise in project management, Courtney continues to guide startups as they navigate their ever-changing life cycle. She can&#x27;t wait to see what the future holds for Houston. As the saying goes, &quot;Don&#x27;t mess with Texas!&quot;
<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/brooke-turner/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Brooke Turner: Program Director at DivInc</a>
Brooke&#x27;s life work has impacted thousands of students and young women through her career as a high school teacher, a partnership and marketing manager for academic business at NI (an industry leader in test and automation innovation), robotics mentor, and co-founder of a non-profit supporting STEM programs in the Central Texas region. As co-founder of her startup Kwaddle, Brooke continued her mission to serve students and to support women in the workplace by providing easier access to high-quality, out-of-school enrichment opportunities for kids. Brooke was named winner of the 2018 Woman&#x27;s Way Business Award for Product Innovation.
Brooke is now the program director for DivInc, a non-profit organization that provides a high impact, 12-week startup accelerator, and other community programs to bridge the gap between underrepresented entrepreneurs and the resources they need to build high-growth, profitable companies. 
<a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathan-chavez-a5b02150" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jonathan Chavez: Venture Associate at Capital Factory</a>
Jonathan Chavez is a Dallas-based venture associate for Capital Factory, the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas. Jonathan spends his time sourcing tech startups for Capital Factory&#x27;s accelerator program and fund. Prior to Capital Factory, Jonathan spent six years in banking, most recently with J.P. Morgan&#x27;s Technology &amp; Disruptive Commerce Group, and Wells Fargo prior to that role. Additionally, Jonathan was part of the founding team of Neu Robotics, an autonomous UAV robotics company; his roles included business development, fundraising, and operations. Jonathan graduated from The University of Tennessee&#x27;s Global Leadership Scholars program with a degree in finance/economics/international business. He&#x27;s an avid music fan who spends a lot of his free time (pre-COVID) attending live music events and music festivals.
