Create a Unique Abstract Painting Based On Your Creative DNA!

Spiritual Artist CJ Miller will guide you through a process of letting go of control and focusing on the experience of painting itself—allowing the beauty to emerge naturally rather than forcing an outcome.

Using music and movement, you will create asemic marks as the foundation for your expressive spiritual painting. This workshop is designed to help you discover your unique Creative DNA—your individualized artistic language—by embracing spontaneity, intuition, and trust in the creative process.

After a brief grounding exercise, you’ll practice making original asemic marks, first on your own and then in an engaging Asemic Repetitions exercise with a partner. This interactive approach not only helps you find marks that are distinctively yours but also fosters connection and collaboration.

Next, you’ll use your unique marks to develop an expressive abstract painting, working on a 11 x 14" sheet of Bristol board with a variety of brush sizes. This class will train you to see the beauty in what’s unfolding, refining your composition by focusing on what is working. To close, CJ will walk you through his signature process of isolating a compelling section of your painting, helping you frame a finished piece that reflects your creative essence.

$85. All supplies are included, along with a copy of The Spiritual Artist book. In order to have the best in one-on-one instruction, this workshop will be limited to 18 attendees.

Come prepared to move, play, and explore—because when you trust the process, art reveals itself in ways you never expected. Each student will receive a copy of his book, "The Spiritual Artist."

His book, The Spiritual Artist, is available on Amazon, and his podcast can be heard and followed on most podcast directories, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, and Pandora. He lives in Dallas-Ft. Worth with two dogs and his husband of more than thirty years while his son attends college in North Texas.

His recent solo show, “Emotional Roller Coaster” was exhibited at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas. His vision was to create a living experience for the viewer—one in which art and music combine to create an immersive emotional journey.

Every physical thing or piece of art is an idea or thought pattern first. As a Spiritual Artist, CJ focuses on spiritual processes that occur before the art is manifested by teaching self-awareness, contemplation and creative exercises that release the creator within anyone.

CJ has presented to various arts organizations, including the Grapevine Art Project, the Texas Jewish Arts Association, the Visual Art League of Lewisville, Artisan Art Santa Fe, Unity Tustin California Spirit Group, Rockwall Arts League, the Visual Arts Guide of Frisco and many more.
