AAPI NIGHT: SHORT FILMS BY AAPI FILMMAKERS

7:45PM – 10:30PM

Doors open at 7:45PM. Program starts at 8PM.

AAPI Night! A 2-hour program of short films by Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers. Whether your short film was directed, produced, DP’d, or written by an AAPI filmmaker — it qualifies for submission.

This will be a 2-hour program of short films by local AAPI filmmakers, followed by a 1-hour meet and greet to connect, collaborate, and build community.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

This is a curated screening.

All short films under 20 minutes will go through a curation process. If selected, your film will be showcased with us that evening.

The first hour will prioritize short films under 10 minutes.
The second hour will feature selected films ranging from 10–20 minutes.

All films must be approved through our review process in order to screen.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, your film was not selected for this screening.

As always, submissions are free.

SUBMISSION RULES

Any film that is clearly offensive, inappropriate, or lacking artistic integrity will not be considered.

If selected, you must be in attendance for your film to screen that night.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Email a downloadable link of your short film to:

In the subject line write:
LA AAPI NIGHT SUBMISSION + Your Film Title

In your email, include:
• Your contact information
• Social media handles

All filmmakers will be notified if their short was accepted two days before the event. This allows time to invite friends, collaborators, and fellow filmmakers to attend.

ADMISSION

Short film submission is free.
Admission to the event is $20.

For every three guests you bring, you’ll receive one complimentary ticket.

Filmmakers will receive a promo code for discounted admission for themselves and their guests.

To avoid Eventbrite fees, we recommend paying at the door.

NO REFUNDS

Event Policy
All ticket sales are final. In the event of technical difficulties or unforeseen program adjustments, guests will be offered complimentary admission to a future screening in lieu of refunds.
