Course Description

Take a virtual tour of the heart to see the anatomy of the cardiovascular system up close. We’ll use virtual reality to zoom in and see the heart and circulation as you never have before. By the end of this course, you’ll have an appreciation of cardiovascular anatomy and the flow of blood through the systemic and pulmonary circulation. We’ll see the four cardiac valves, understand the anatomical differences defining the cardiac chambers, and examine the coronary arteries and their distribution to the different parts of the heart. The BodyMap virtual tour allows an up close view of the anatomy in a way that can only be equaled in a real anatomy lab, so you’ll come away with an understanding of the anatomy of these structures and their interconnectedness that isn’t possible from a textbook.
