About this event

Wednesday 06.12, 6:30pm

Doors open: 6:30pm

Experience: 7-10:30pm

Cost: $95 early bird, $110 general admission

We will use Breath and Sound to unlock energetic pathways in the body, and then we will use rhythm to move that energy through the body in waving, spiraling, undulating postures.

The class will begin slowly with gentle warm up and will gradually increase in intensity and dynamism towards a catharic release, thus paving the way for us to truly absorb the sound bath. This class is gentle enough for a non-mover, yet can work deep enough for a very active individual.

Our sound bath practioner explores the intersection of mediums that provide a haven from social-emotional isolation and support our adaptive capabilities to self-soothe and heal. Much of his work comes from the impulse to create more space in the body and nervous system through vibrational frequencies that connect us to ancestral wisdom and well-being.

The Gyrokinesis® method:

A fluid non-weight bearing yoga for the spine. Gyrokinesis® adresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating funtional strength through rythmic, flowing movement sequences.

The Space:

A converted old church, considered a magical haven in the heart of Harlem. The address will be sent to registered guests.
