For more than 50 years, the Bristol Art Museum (BAM) has been serving the community on the eastern shore of Narragansett Bay. The only art museum between Providence and Newport, RI, BAM's mission is to encourage the creation, promotion and appreciation of the arts through exhibitions and educational opportunities. Community outreach programs and partnerships are central to our goal of engaging diverse audiences in the arts of our time. In 2014 BAM completed an award-winning restoration of the Linden Place carriage barn. Three galleries display six exhibits each year while the second floor accommodates studios and the Piccoli Community room, flexible and inspiring spaces to create, experience, and discuss art.
