About this event

  • 3 hours

Come listen to former professional baseball player and Mental Health Advocate for the San Francisco Giants, Drew Robinson, at this free community event to start May Mental Health Awareness Month. Drew will share his experience as a talented athlete growing up who lived out his dream of becoming a Major League Baseball player. As someone who seemed to “have it all,” Drew struggled with his self worth and whether he deserved his success. In 2020, Drew miraculously survived a suicide attempt, resulting in a newfound purpose to advocate for mental health and work to end the stigma surrounding it.

This moderated discussion will highlight the realities of mental health struggles, the power of hope, and the belief that recovery is always possible!

Moderated By:

  • Ryan Byrne, Athletic Director, College of Marin
  • Jerome Saddler, The Branson School Gallard Fellow and Coach
