A Space in Grace is a low-pressure, high-stakes program aimed to assist the LGBTQIA+ community in confronting religious trauma and discrimination while receiving love, acceptance, and affirmation within a faith-based setting.

This session is a safe space for self-discovery and building bridges through the magic of storytelling.Pen your thoughts, dreams, and reflections in a safe and supportive environment. Our creative writing sessions provide a cathartic outlet, allowing you to navigate your emotions and embrace the power of your narrative.

Can I attend if I am not LGBTQIA+?

Unfortunately, this event is exclusively for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This is by design to foster a community among marginalized people. We love our allies and there are other ways you can support us. Visit www.FlamingforJesus.com for more information on ways to support and get involved.

Is this group therapy?

No, this is not a formal therapy session and you will not be asked or forced to share or participate. This program was created to establish a safe and affirming community for individuals to reconcile their faith and sexual/gender identities.

What if I'm not a Christian? Or, I don't believe in Jesus?

That is perfectly fine. While we are believers of Christ and want to share the good news with you, we respect all people and their beliefs. We welcome all religions and all people in the LGBTQIA+ community regardless of what path they are currently on.

Is it okay if I come, but don't want to participate?

Of course! We are just glad you're taking steps towards healing!

Are you trying to force religion on me?

In no way shape or form are we looking to convert or force any religious views. Our purpose is to counteract the religious views that are centered in hate and misinformation.

Is this like conversion therapy?

No, we are an out and proud organization and do not condone conversion therapy or anything that could potentially harm the people in our community. Our goal is to safely and lovingly share how both faith and sexual identity coexist.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome and the pavilion is located right next to a play area as well.

Are pets welcome?

Yes, bring your fur babies! They do have to be leashed and please make sure to clean up after them. The pavilion is located next to the dog park!

Do I have to be religious to attend?

No, this event is open to LGBTQIA+ individuals looking for a community of people who are either struggling with their faith and sexual identity, people who have reconciled their faith and sexual identity and people who are looking for a community of believers judgement free and openly LGBTQIA+.
