A Smorgasbord of Sensors and Microcontrollers
...
Saturday, August 16 2025. 10:30 am -- 1:15 pm
CETI Lab at PSU. FMH 218.
Francisco Botello, Rich Coffey, Darcy Neal, Scott Nieradka, Justin Patrizi, John Romkey
In a world of smart, connected tech, we are surrounded by sensors that constantly measure a wide range of physcial phenomena, converting them into electronic signals to trigger an action or response. Join us in a discusison with a panel fo experts as they help appreciate the potential nd power of sensor tech, as they discuss their favorite sensors and most despised in the things they create.
Come experiment with and learn about the assortment of sensors available (environment, location, climate, biometric, motion), their use, accuracy, cost, and potential. We will also have a a variety of microcontrollers one can use to use the sensors to control a system and make imaginative interactive powerful devices and installations.
Materials: We will have all the materials. Bring questions. Lots of questions.
Prerequisites: All are welcome.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Visitors (and participants) in all CETI spaces, programs, and events agree to abide by CETI's Terms of Engagement including CETI's Liability Waiver, CETI's Code of Conduct and all CETI /PSU Policies and Protocols.
