About this event

Join your hosts, Gabby and Terran, for a grounding-in-place practice and guided plant walk along the north side of the Avon River, running twice monthly from April- October. For the best experience, we recommend participating in multiple walks or the full season to witness how the local flora changes!

Participants will learn plant names, basic plant identification skills, foraging ethics and safety, medicinal and edible (and poisonous?) uses, history and more! Not just a plant walk, participants also practice grounding skills and intentional slowness. The blend of information and time for absorption makes these walks something special.

Walks run 2x monthly from April- July, and 1x monthly August- October (see dates above). Pre-registration is encouraged but not required: we love a walk-in too.

Pre-registration sales are final, but if a walk is cancelled due to weather, that ticket can be used for another walk during the season.

Accessibility: This is a gentle, slow moving (approximately) 2km walk. However, the path along the north side of the Avon River is unpaved and uneven in spots.

Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Bring your own water bottle.
