The Upstart Players present an evening of Miscast Cabaret, a fundraiser event to showcase the players and raise money for our upcoming work.

If the Upstart Players are a mystery to you, finding out who they are might start with finding out who they aren’t…join us for a night of Miscast Cabaret to showcase the diverse talents of our players and supporters, and raise funds for our upcoming productions! Performers will share songs and monologues from roles so far out of their ordinary typecasts this might be their only chance to tell these stories. We would love to share an evening of inventive, fun, out-of-the-ordinary theatre from the rising stars in Spokane with you. We are also excited to partner with Chef Wiley at Prohibition Gastropub for this event! General admission tickets are $15, but with a VIP $15 add-on, you&#x27;ll be served a full buffet-style meal by Chef Wiley, so share a meal with us, too! What could be better than dinner and a show? If you&#x27;re interested in dinner, select the $15 add-on at checkout. We are also happy to discuss dietary restrictions!ABOUT THE UPSTART PLAYERSWe founded the Upstart Players in Fall of 2021, upon noticing a lack of opportunities for young artists to explore creative ideas and goals autonomously. We realized we didn&#x27;t have to wait for a theater in town to be doing our dream show, we could do it ourselves! Shortly after, we put on our first show, directed, acted and designed by members of the Upstart Players and produced in partnership with The Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d&#x27;Alene Idaho.Our mission is to give emerging artists in the Spokane area a voice, as well as training opportunities to grow in their craft. As a group, we are dedicated to developing the artistic voices and perspectives of young artists by providing the space, support, and autonomy to create passion projects. We also commit to collaborating with other theatre companies in Spokane to contribute to the blossoming creative ecosystem.If we fail, we fail big. If we succeed, it is because of the voice, perspective, and drive of the artists behind each project. And through each success or failure, we commit to being there to support each other in our artistic endeavors
