A MIRIRS Event: Growing Girls

Date: Saturday, May 25th, 2024

Time: 12pm - 1:30pm

Location: Southeast Community Center

MIRIRS is pausing for the summer but we want to send our girls off positively and show gratitude to every mother and special girl who has participated this year. We've grown so much and we can't stop now!

Let's talk growth: If you are a mother, you play a key role in the development of your special girl. Everything you do impacts her growth. If you are a special girl, you are growing daily and it’s important to continue to grow in a positive direction. Whether you are growing a girl or you are a growing girl, this event is to intentionally set your mind on the development that you would like to see this summer.

This mother-daughter workshop includes a short inspirational/educational message, growth mapping activity, and the potting of flower seeds to symbolize one’s dedication to growing your girl or being a growing girl this summer! The remainder of the time will be food, games, and prizes to express gratitude for your participation this year. We hope to see you there!

Frequently asked questions

Who is the facilitator?

Nia Coleman is our Founder and facilitator. Any present volunteers would only assist in material distribution or set up and breakdown. Ms. Nia is a 26 year old believer, daughter, friend, sister, speaker, and educator. Nia is an Assistant Principal of Culture at a charter school in Nashville, TN.

Does my daughter have to identify as Christian to attend the workshop?

No. MIRIRS presents Christian beliefs but does not force them on anyone. Content and scriptures for each session are shared so that parents can determine alignment.

How do I register if I have more than one daughter?

Request one ticket per each attendee. One mom and 2 daughters = 3 tickets.
