A Midsummer Night's Ecstatic Dream 

Mia Blaisdel studied Theatre and Dance at the University of California San Diego and acted in LA and San Francisco for over a decade. Mia learned that her purpose in life is to provide connection and community and has been creating community events and fundraisers in the Bay Area and in Las Vegas. She has over four years of Conscious Dance experience (including Ecstatic Dance, Open Floor, Contact Improv, and 5Rhythms) in such cities as: Santa Cruz, Oakland, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Las Vegas, and at festivals like Soulplay Festival and Oregon Eclipse Festival. She leads Nonviolent Communication Practice Groups, Tantra Pujas, and Dance/Movement exercises.

This is a fundraiser for Ecstatic Dance Silicon Valley (EDSV). EDSV's rent keeps increasing and they are struggling to pay the rent. Without financial help, EDSV will have to close their doors. EDSV has been a saving grace for me and so many others. EDSV helped me to reclaim my body and regain my passion for life. It gave me a beautiful, loving community that makes me feel at home every Sunday. I don't want the doors to close, and neither do you, so let's party!
Join us for contact improv class with Karin Moriarty, a potluck, and Ecstatic Dance with DJ Vedma in the fairy kingdom at A Midsummer Night's Ecstatic Dream. Dress to move but also dress as a fairy, your favorite character from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, or a human who has stumbled upon the revelry in the fairy kingdom. Please no scents or perfumes. Bring a bathing suit and towel for the pool and jacuzzi.
What to bring for the potluck based on your Horoscope type:
Earth: main dish Fire: side dish Air: dessert Water: beverage (non-alcoholic)
Schedule:
6pm to 7pm: Contact Improvisation with Karin Moriarty (for those that pre-register) 7pm to 8pm: Potluck, fairies, and magic 8pm to 10pm: Ecstatic Dance with DJ Vedma in the fairy kingdom 10pm to 11pm: cuddle pile and jacuzzi
Cost: $30 for contact improv and Ecstatic Dance, $20 for just dance. All proceeds go to EDSV.
