First Voice–– Since 1976 Brenda Wong Aoki and Mark Izu have played a central role in the evolution of Asian American Art. They founded First Voice in 1997, with a mission to create, present and contribute the stories and music of people living between worlds. Critical to this mission is "personal experience" or "voice" - essential to the authentic representation of the people of the United States.firstvoice.org

A Magic Moment with Solate 
You're invited to share an intimate moment of music and song with Marissa, Maya, Joel, and Kevin of the friendly "indie-soul-acoustic" band, Solate. We are celebrating the release of our first single, "Norway" on Spotify, Bandcamp, and Tidal! 
That moment when you meet someone for the first time . . . and your world is forever changed (for the better). We will share throughout the event some of the magic stories of how our band members all met and became connected. And as always, we hope to fill the room with love, your heart with song, and your mind with peace and hope.
Marissa's lovely auntie and uncle will be hosting in the First Voice Healing Arts Studio with a charming outdoor garden. Help yourself to wine on the patio, but please be mindful of the beautiful space.
PLEASE RSVP! :) The venue is limited to 30 people, including the band.
