Come out for an intimate evening with veteran North Carolina singer/ songwriter A. Lee Edwards on November 14,2026!
A. Lee Edwards is a North Carolina songwriter with over 30 years of crafting songs that feel like they were written specifically for the moment you needed to hear them. A veteran of the acclaimed alt-country outfits Lou Ford and The Loudermilks, Edwards has stepped fully into his solo career with two of the finest records of his life: Interpreting Heart Sounds Vol. I & II, recorded at Asheville’s Echo Mountain Studios and produced by the legendary John Wood — the man behind Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, and Richard & Linda Thompson. Vol. I features a guest appearance by Richard Thompson himself, and both records have drawn well-deserved praise from Glide Magazine, Americana Highways, and The Bluegrass Situation.
What Edwards does is deceptively simple: fingerpicked guitar, understated arrangements, and lyrics that find real weight in small moments. His songs have been compared to Raymond Carver stories — spare, sweet, and quietly devastating. Vol. II deepens that world further, surrounding his self-taught fingerpicking with warm string arrangements and the kind of cinematic restraint that only comes from an artist who knows exactly what he’s doing. Echoes of early Beach Boys, Big Star, and Townes Van Zandt surface throughout, but the voice and the vision are entirely his own.
