About this event

"...especially for those dealing with ecological grief, the restoration of relationship to place, to nature, is the beginning of healing." -- Amos Clifford, founder, Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. See the work of ANFT-certified guides in Chico, California with survivors of the Paradise and Camp Fires: Video 1 / Video 2

Healing Trees, a series of free forest bathing walks, is offered as a gift to the Maui community, especially those directly affected by the Lahaina and Kula fires. These monthly nature immersions at some of Maui's most beautiful green spaces are a time to rest, reconnect with others, and with oneself.

Acknowledging that recovery from any disaster or trauma takes time, we are hoping to encourage a number of Maui residents committed to training and becoming certified as forest therapy guides in 2025. They will then be able to offer this restorative therapy to their own island community in the years to come.

Your donation in any amount will go towards a scholarship fund to assist with tuition for those guides-in-training who need a little financial aid.

Mahalo for your kindness and kokua (help)!

*Please note: Listed here is the final date of the Healing Trees series in 2024, Arbor Day, November 2. Your donation here is NOT a registration for that walk. For online registration for all Healing Trees walks, please go to bit.ly/healingtreesmaui.

Your donation is not tax deductible.

No refunds.
