About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Thames Water invites you to join us at our Farmoor Reservoir site for our Monthly Moth Trap checking session. The traps will have been collected and we will gather at the car park 'gatehouse' to take a look and see how many different species we can identify.

Please don’t forget to book (click on the ‘Reserve a spot’ button)

(Don't forget to cancel, if you can no longer attend, so someone else can take your place).

Please note that, if the forecast is very poor for the evening before, we may be unable to run the traps. Please check if unsure. The traps will have been located around the reservoirs and the Nature Reserves to cover a variety of habitats, so we should have representatives from different habitats.

Accessibility & risks: take care in the car park as you approach the gatehouse. We have a small number of identification books and pots for viewing the insects. However, if you have your own please feel free to bring them along. You may also wish to bring a camera to photograph some of the moths.

Meet in the Main Car Park at Farmoor Reservoir, Cumnor Road, Farmoor.
