Pisgah Legal Services is  a nonprofit law firm that provides legal assistance and advocacy to help low-income people in Western North Carolina meet their basic needs and improve their lives.

Join us at Rhubarb for a special first-time collaboration between acclaimed chefs John Fleer and Tandy Wilson. 
Down Home is a multi-course family-style dinner in support of Pisgah Legal's Homelessness Prevention Project. In 2016, Pisgah Legal helped nearly 3,000 people stabilize housing and prevent homelessness by stopping needless eviction or foreclosure. Help sustain this vital and life-changing work.
Tuesday, August 22, 2017 Cocktails at 6:00pm    |    Dinner at 7:00pm Rhubarb, Downtown Asheville $125 per person, including food, wine, beer, and gratuity
*For an additional $75 per person, a select number of attendees are invited to spend an hour enjoying champagne with the chefs and friends as they prepare for dinner service.

About the Chefs
John Fleer - An Asheville favorite since opening Rhubarb in 2014, John is a five-time finalist for James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef of the Southeast award. During John’s fifteen-year tenure as Executive Chef of the Inn at Blackberry Farm, John played a major role in making Blackberry Farm one of the best small hotels in the world. A graduate of Culinary Institute of America, John began his career as personal chef to Mary Tyler Moore. John’s legacy is best defined by the many young chefs he has trained and mentored and by the local farmers he has introduced to the culinary world, including Allan Benton and the Eason family.
Tandy Wilson- Winner of the 2016 Best Chef of the Southeast award from the James Beard Foundation, Tandy can still be found most nights cooking in his Nashville, TN, restaurant, City House. Sharing John’s approach to local ingredients prepared with a Southern flair, Tandy merges authentic Italian cuisine with down-home Southern cooking inspired by his mother and grandmother. Since 2007, City House has been the place that top chefs go when they come to Nashville. Tandy and City House were recently featured on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.
