A Continued Dialog for Springfield's Environment

Through our tree advocacy efforts, ReGreen Springfield has collaborated with businesses, community organizations, educational partners and government agencies to promote the reforestation of Springfield, improve growing conditions for trees and engage new allies in tree care and monitoring.ReGreen Springfield realizes that strength of our city is found in the neighborhoods. With that as the foundation for our work, we have embarked on an effort to partner with civic associations, religious institutions, businesses and other advocacy groups to assist in helping to ‘regreen’ the city.

A Virtual Environmental Planning and Action Session

Please Join in the Dialog. During the session you help to place a collection of air-quality monitors across the city, in order to better understand how air pollution impacts public health. You can help us decide where to place those monitors!  Also, you will learn about opportunities to help plant new trees in neighborhoods across the city this Spring in order to help address climate change, right in your own neighborhood.Please plan to join a virtual community planning and action session on Wednesday, April 14th, from, 6-7 pm via Zoom and Facebook Live. Sponsored by ReGreen Springfield and the City of Springfield, in partnership with Live Well Springfield, Yale University School of Public Health, the US Forest Service, Earthwatch, the Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Program and Attorney General Maura Healy’s office, this event will be a great opportunity for you to get involved in making the city a bit more resilient and sustainable.
