A Collaborative Pop-Up Dinner: 
Gabriel Hall + Relish + Simple Goodness + Sumptuous Spirits
Four burgeoning Black women-owned food businesses are coming together for the first time to host a special pop-up experience. On April 24, 2018, local businesses Gabriel Hall, Relish Catering, Simple Goodness and Sumptuous Spirits will treat patrons to an intimate four-course dinner at The Brooklyn Street Local, with a focus on celebrating community, culture, and sharing their stories through food.
During the two hour dinner, guests will enjoy signature dishes from each business highlighting seasonal and locally-sourced items. The menu includes crispy cauliflower, maque choux with grilled gulf shrimp, smoked leg of lamb with mint chimichurri over mirliton puree and scalloped sweet potatoes, and a stone fruit cobbler with house made vanilla bean ice cream. Wine and cocktail pairings are provided with each course. Each business will present their dish and tell a story about the culture, familial history, and the time-honored tradition associated with it.

Crispy Cauliflower | Simple Goodness
Crispy cauliflower, citrus yogurt, pickled raisin puree, spiced peanuts, and dill

Maque Choux with grilled Gulf shrimp | Gabriel Hall
Roasted corn, onions, red and yellow peppers, grape tomatoes, and arugula tossed in a fresh cilantro dressing

Course 3
Smoked Leg of Lamb with Mint Chimichurri over mirliton puree &amp; scalloped sweet potatoes

Course 4
Stone fruit cobbler with housemade vanilla bean ice cream | Relish
Fresh assorted stone fruit baked in a cast iron skillet, fresh vanilla ice cream, espresso dust, with a mint garnish

Sumptuous Spirits is a full service mobile bartending company that provides superior bartending services for social and corporate events, life celebrations, weddings, and private parties for the metro Detroit area. Believing that a great event starts with a great cocktail, Sumptuous Spirits specialize in creative libations and great service, two qualities that are essential to a great event.
