About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Jaci Travis, a professional counselor, and her husband Karl Travis, former chief pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth, will talk about their 12-year journey that began when Karl was diagnosed with a fatal disease. They had just married when Karl’s health began a twelve-year cascade ending in a 3 ½ year hospice conclusion. Or so they thought. Their journey brought the loss of their professional lives, a redefined marriage, and a weathered love. Then, seven months ago, Karl was finally accepted for a hoped-for lifesaving surgery. Its success launched them into new lives. Their faith has been chiseled into new and unexpected shapes, the effect of which they are still learning as they explore together their new reality.
