About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

A Blueprint for the Brain will be about how scientists are building computational models of the brain using wiring diagrams of how neurons are connected, called a connectome, in animals like the fruit fly.  Krishan Kumar, a PhD student in the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience at Columbia, is building these connectome-constrained computational models to predict how neurons will respond to stimulation, shedding light on how neurons pass messages to each other and control different behaviors.

Free food will be provided for all attendees!
