Overview

Please join The Green Impact Exchange (GIX)for a unique, interactive, hands-on opportunity to learn about our vision for carbon trading.

These days everyone's talking about the carbon market as a simple solution to meet their decarbonization targets. But when it comes to actually trading carbon credits, it gets complicated quickly: the carbon market is unstructured, fragmented, and unregulated, all of which exacerbates risk.

There's a better way.

Please join The Green Impact Exchange (GIX) and Baruch College at Climate Week for a unique, interactive, hands-on opportunity to learn about our vision for the future of carbon trading.Participants will learn the basics of trading in a simulated, live carbon trading market, to see firsthand how supply, demand, regulation, and sentiment affect prices and strategy.

The event will include a panel of industry experts discussing the current state of the carbon credit market and its existing challenges. The session will continue with a mock trading session guided by market experts, with participants playing various roles within the market.

The exercise will teach market mechanics, carbon pricing, compliance vs. voluntary markets, and how sustainability goals intersect with financial decisions. No trading experience is required.

The fun continues with a post-trading debrief, networking, drinks, and nibbles.

Capacity is limited, so please sign up early. (A wait list is available)
