The Gold Beams brand curates beautifully eclectic events, experiences, programming, and productions for Black creatives and our Black community at large. Our signature event, Second Mondays, is a home for an array of Black art and ethereal communion. Through Gold Beams, you get to be privy to a world of one-of-a-kind moments, events, performances, and so much more!Second Mondays is a creative hub + open mic for Black artists. Though many of the artist bring their spoken word pieces, we highlight all forms of art. This includes musicians, visual performances, comedians, storytellers, graphic designers-whatever. <h2>Second Mondays 👩🏿‍🎤🧑🏿‍🎨🧜🏿‍♂️:</h2>Second Mondays is a multi-disciplinary open mic for Black people to share and enjoy incredible art. The stage welcomes comedy, poetry, singing, rapping, instrumentalists, and more!It's what we at <a href="https://www.goldbeams.org/" title="https://www.goldbeams.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gold Beams</a> have been doing for three years.And... it's fun AF!All ages welcomed 🤰🏿👶🏿👩🏿‍👱🏿‍♂️🧑🏿‍🦱👨🏿‍🦰👩🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦰🧑🏿‍🦳👨🏿‍🦳 <h2>Artists 👩🏿‍🎤🧑🏿‍🎤👨🏿‍🎤:</h2>Open Mic FAQ's - Our stage is a home made for Black creatives.- We invite ALL disciplines.- That includes comedians, musicians, poets, actors performing monologues, dance, etc.- The open mic goes live at 6 pm when the doors open. The list fills quickly so try to get there earlier.- If you can't get there early, that's okay. Every interested performer gets a free raffle ticket.- We alternate between calling from the list and the raffle ticket.- Artists have 5 minutes to perform on stage.- Artists can perform one piece.- If you have instrumentals, be ready to airdrop them.- Be prepared to perform acapella if there are issues sending your instrumentals.- Your art must be respectful to the people in the space. To our community.- With the exclusion of February, if you have won a Second Mondays event in 2024, you can perform but you can NOT place. <h2>Guests 👩🏿‍🦱🧑🏿‍🦱👨🏿‍🦱:</h2>People come to Second Mondays to:<ul><li>Network with creatives 🤝.</li><li>Showcase incredible art 🎭🖼🎙.</li><li>To enjoy incredible art 🤪!</li><li>Make new friends 🤗.</li><li>To have a good ass time 🔥.</li></ul><h2>We'll Be Taking 🎥 📸.</h2>We'll be taking pictures for Gold Beams and Oakstop to use. Your entry will confirm your consent.
