NASW-SC Lunch and Learn: Trauma, Grief, and Dopamine in SUD

Join us on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 12pm-1pm for the Lunch and Learn: Trauma, grief, and Dopamine in SUD. Presenter, Jackie Carson, LMSW will discuss her brief stint as a AOD Counselor right out of graduate school. This discussion will include the high rate of grief, loss, and trauma she encountered in rural, impoverished communities with limited services outside of alcohol and drug counseling. In addition, Jackie will discuss how her clients demonstrated blossoming empowerment once armed with knowledge they wish they had before they ever picked up substances.
