The Cottages On Vaughan

MicroLife Institute presents a special 90-minute tour of the Cottages on Vaughan, Cottages &amp; Cocoa! Beginning at 4:30pm, enjoy an introductory lesson on micro spaces, the design principles behind "pocket neighborhoods", and the concepts behind the site's unique climate resilient landscape. Explore the homes, chat with the neighbors, and experience what life is like in 492 square feet, all while enjoying locally brewed hot cocoa from Banjo Coffee! Come learn about what makes a great pocket neighborhood, and what it took to bring this one to life.Each tour this year will feature a guest speaker in the world of housing, innovation, equity and sustainability.Stay tuned for more information regarding future guest speakers!

Donations from ticket prices support MicroLife Institute, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Please find free street parking available at the following locations and walk the short distance to the cottages.Free parking:<ul><li>Vaughan St, between Montreal Rd and Market St</li><li>Market St, between E Ponce de Leon Ave and N Indian Creek Dr</li><li>E Ponce de Leon Ave, between Hill St and Market St</li><li>Clarkston Woman's Club, 3913 Church St</li><li>Clarkston United Methodist Church, 1019 Rogers St (Rogers St entrance only, just west of Market St.)</li><li>Short walk to the Cottages on Vaughan at 1182 Vaughan St.</li></ul>

This tour is free for residents of DeKalb County, though registration is still required. Please email cottages@microlifeinstitute.org for more information.
