CFA Society Cleveland, formerly The Cleveland Society of Security Analysts, was founded in 1950 and provides investment-related programs and services to its Northeast Ohio-based membership. The CFA Society Cleveland has approximately 500 members, and is a member society of CFA Institute, formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR). AIMR was formed in January 1990 as a combination of the Financial Analysts Federation, founded in 1947, and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, and was renamed CFA Institute in 2004. CFA Institute currently represents more than 127,000 members, who include the world's 130,000 CFA charterholders, in 150 countries and territories.

Over eight years I had the good fortune of working in three divisions: corporate services, restructuring, and corporate finance. It was the latter division where I spent four years doing corporate advisory, valuations, transaction services, privatisations, and M&A all relevant skills for Private Equity. My last assignment at KPMG was to spend six months assisting NAB to establish a specialist Private Equity division. I ended up remaining with NAB doing Private Equity until joining Advent in 2002.At Advent, I have been a director of Tesa, UGM, Trivantage, SCADAgroup (the winner of the 2010 AVCAL best mid-market buyout award), Gourmet Garden, Integral Diagnostics and Frosty Boy. Currently, I am a director of Compass, Medtech, ICT and PEHA.I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, and am an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family, sampling good red wine with my friends, watching my boys play football (Aussie Rules!), fishing and riding dirt bikes.Mark Jago, PartnerI spent my early career working in several roles for the global FMCG company Unilever. I followed this with 6 years at Bain &amp; Co. with my prime focus on growth strategy and performance improvement in Australia, South Korea and South Africa. In my 12 years of private equity experience I have worked alongside some outstanding businesses and executives.Some of the businesses include GenesisCare(AVCAL awarded best investment of the last 25 years), Gourmet Garden, Junior Adventures Group, Integral Diagnostic, Homy Ped, Sigma Coachair Group, Valuation Exchange (ValEx), Neller and Wellness &amp; Lifestyles. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Engineering/Commerce from Monash University.I have a large family and live in a busy household that shuttles kids between events.
