*** This is for the AT&T Believe Bay Area Scholarship for Bay Area Veteran Community***  ***Important Disclaimer Regarding Class Format*** Our on-campus classes will be done rvirtually due to increasing concerns about the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to hold classes at our scheduled time but we will be conducting class virtually.  Please be prepared to have cameras on during class, and to be interacting in the video chat/Slack. If you have a second monitor, we recommend using it so that you can be watching the instructor on one screen and completing activities on the other. *****
This is a 4-week course is live streamed classes every Monday thru Thursday evening from April 20- May 14th / Mon-Th 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Must parricipate in class. Training will be streamed from the <A HREF="https://www.galvanize.com/campuses/san-francisco" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Galvanize</A> location in San Francisco with student access to the virtual environment. – 4 nights per week – 2hrs each night. 
Some web familiarization helpful, but not required. You will learn the basics of programming by building visual and interactive components of a website. More specifically you will get hands on experience creating the structural foundation (HTML), styling (CSS), and inserting logic to control the behavior (JavaScript) of your own website. Upon completion, you will be able to:

This hybrid course was created to give veterans and spouses access the tech ecosystem through hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript while also offering career services and networking with employers for jobs in tech. It is geared to those that have little experience with programming, JavaScript, in particular, providing the foundation to apply skills to various applications, as well as the knowledge to successfully enter careers that require a foundational knowledge in the visual and interactive components of a website.

For this course, candidates must have proof of veteran status and enroll through VetsinTech.
