Who is eligible to participated in the Made in DC pitch series?

Accepted Answer

Participants must be DC residents and majority business owners with an active license, producing tangible products in DC. Previous certification does not guarantee a pitch slot, all eligible businesses must complete a pitch application.

How do I apply for a pitch slot?

Accepted Answer

Applicants must complete a pitch application and receive a confirmation email to participate. Signing up on Eventbrite allows you to attend the event, but does not automatically enroll you in the pitch competition. To learn more about this pitch series and to apply, visit www.dslbd.dc.gov/madeindc

How long will each pitch presentation last?

Each business has 3 minutes to present their pitch, followed by 3-5 minutes of questions and feedback from the judges.

Unfortunately, if the deadline is missed, you will have to wait or sign up for the next scheduled pitch event if slots are available. It’s crucial to submit applications on time.
