Are you looking to improve your self-advocacy skills, explore your strengths, empower yourself and promote equity? This online event is the perfect opportunity to learn from the expert, DeeDee Anderson. Get ready to gain valuable insights and tools to help you explore your values and strengths, improve your self-esteem, and navigate diverse situations confidently. DeeDee Anderson is a Survivor and Certified Peer Counselor with experience supporting clients with substance abuse disorder, mental health consumers, foster youth, persons with disabilities, and those navigating the prison system. With a focus on sufferers of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, DeeDee seeks to cultivate safe, and inclusive spaces that inspire and empower others to seek self-actualization and enlightenment. This is a series of 10 4-hour workshops that we will condense into a total of 5 4-hour workshops to review some of the materials from the new workbook "Self-Advocacy for Equity" authored by DeeDee Anderson and included in C.A.R.E. wellness programs that serve BIPOC adults 18-25 after incarceration and foster care. Join us in this new series and help us cultivate a one-of-a-kind wellness experience!


Each workshop includes a peer support healing circle, course content, activities, Q&A and take-aways. We welcome all feedback at the completion of each workshop to improve outcomes.
