The Frontera Land Alliance

We will be hiking some of Cristo Rey where we will see and learn about the Geological history of the mountain and surrounding areas.

Cristo Rey Road

During this hike, you will see some amazing rocks that record ancient shallow seas, dinosaur beaches, and magmatism and rock squeezing. We will also talk about the Franklin Mountains, the Rio Grande rift, and water resources in our desert community. Joined by Geology expert Jason Ricketts.-Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to be able to start on time-We will meet at the main parking lot at the trail heading to the peak-Water and light snack will be provided
