Two-day in-person workshop with Jo Boaler and Cathy Williams that includes the youcubed summer camp curriculum and breakfast/lunch each day.

Join Jo Boaler and the youcubed team to learn about our camp that has been implemented widely by teachers and shown to significantly improve students’ mathematics understanding!This workshop focuses on the curriculum and teaching approach developed by youcubed that improved students’ scores on standardized mathematics tests by an average of 50% (equivalent to 2.8 years of school). A study of teachers implementing the program across the US showed a significant increase in student mathematics achievement after camp and in the following school year. The workshop content is appropriate for anyone interested in running a youcubed-inspired summer camp or using a Mathematical Mindset teaching approach during the school year. Each workshop includes:<ul><li>Opening and closing sessions with Jo Boaler</li><li>Our summer camp curriculum (available for grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5, and 6-9) and other materials to support summer camp implementation</li><li>Two days of professional development focusing on mindset mathematics content and pedagogy</li></ul>The workshop begins at 9:00 am each day and ends at 3:00 pm each day. Participants will receive a digital credential verifying 10 Professional Development Hours (1 CEU).IMPORTANT NOTES<ul><li>We no longer accept payment by purchase order/check, registration is only available by credit card.</li><li>This workshop will only take place if minimum enrollment levels are achieved. If the workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive a refund.</li></ul>Please note that, except for free parking that we offer to attendees, transportation and lodging are not included in the workshop fee and all travel arrangements are the responsibility of the participant and/or their school or district.
