What should I expect as to the gathering sessions?

Our multi-day conference will begin with a cultural workshop for leadership. The two day conference will be dedicated to improving emergency care delivered to Indigenous and rural communities through education, advocacy & collaboration. The gathering will end with a hands on clinical skills lab day.

When does the Gathering start and end?

The Emergency Medicine with Rural and Indigenous Communities Gathering will host the conference on April 29th  &  April 30th, 2025. There will be optional add on days on April 28th for a cultural workshop geared toward leadership and May 1st for our clinical skills lab day.

Online registration for the Gathering will be accepted through Monday, April 14th, 2025. Onsite registration is NOT available at the Gathering.

Do you offer any scholarships or financial aid for registration costs?

Yes, we do. We will offer a limited number of scholarships for the cost of registration as well as a stipend for travel. The deadline for the scholarship ended on January 10th, 2025 and is now CLOSED.

What is the refund policy?

Before February 1, 2025, you may cancel to receive a 100% refund. After Feb 1, 2025, and before April 16, 2025, you may cancel to receive a 75% refund. After April 16, 2025, you may cancel, but a refund will not be provided. If you need to cancel, please send an email to echo@npaihb.org.

What does the Gathering cost?

The cost ranges and varies based on your profession and licensure as well as the days you plan on attending. The full gathering tickets range from $161.90 - $642.09. Our skills day tickets range from  $268.61- $428.67. Our pre-conference day ticket cost is  $161.90.

What does the Gathering cost for Virtual Participation?

The  cost for the Full Gathering for physicians to attend virtually via Zoom is $482.02. For all other professions to attend virtually the cost is  $161.90. Please note there is NO virtual option to join pre-conference workshop or clinical skills lab .

Yes. You must reserve and pay for your hotel lodging during the Gathering.

Continuing education credits will be offered for both days of the full gathering, and the skills day.

Casual business attire, including culturally-specific attire, is encouraged for the Gathering. The temperature can be difficult to regulate in meeting rooms, so consider bringing a sweater or light jacket.

What will the weather be like while I am in Seattle in April/May?

Seattle's weather can be cooler and wetter, with temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s. This time of year is a time of transition for the area around the Salish Sea. The weather can be unpredictable and can include rain and chilly breezes, so it's best to pack layers.
