LEE KRASNER &amp; JAZZ (QUINTET) Sponsored by the Pollock Krasner House &amp; Study Center Nicole Zuraitis - vocal (Grammy winner), Dan Pugach - drums, Miki Hayama - piano, John Marshall- saxophone, Tom Manuel - cornet. This is the second of two concerts focused on the record collection of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner. Organized in collaboration with The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook, NY, this concert will feature original arrangements inspired by the work of Lee Krasner by Dan Pugach, with vocals by Grammy award winning vocalist Nicole Zuraitis. Cornetist, Jazz historian, and music educator <a href="https://www.thejazzloft.org/thejazzloft-6" title="https://www.thejazzloft.org/thejazzloft-6" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tom Manuel</a> holds the endowed Artist in Residence chair within the Jazz department at Stony Brook University. In addition to this he is the founder and President of The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook, New York, an innovative and creative space which joins Jazz performance, Jazz preservation and Jazz education in celebration of the past, present, and future (<a href="http://thejazzloft.org/" title="http://thejazzloft.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">thejazzloft.org</a>). He also serves as the President for The Institute For New Music (<a href="http://theinstitutefornewmusic.org/" title="http://theinstitutefornewmusic.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">theinstitutefornewmusic.org</a>).
