What types of vendors will be at the Marketplace?

There will be a variety of vendors related to the wildlife community, including Berbo Studios, Barefoot Seeker, Srimoyee Handmade, Californica Nursery, Pasadena Audubon, Southwest Herp Society, International Bird Rescue, and more.

What animal ambassadors will be present?

It's hard to say, but there may be reptiles like a ball python, gopher snake, Savannah monitor, a tortoise, etc.  Join us to see!

What types of kids activities will be offered?

Accepted Answer

Activities include interactive games, crafts (such as making seed bombs), face painting and more. Kids' activities will center around the urban wildlife we see at the shelter, such as squirrels, raccoons, skunks, and opossums.

Are the kids activities just for kids?

No. Anyone of any age can enjoy them!

Are the activities free?

Most activities are free. There will be a $5 fee for making seed bombs.

Question 6

What is a seed bomb?

Accepted Answer

Seed bombs are small clay balls that contain wildflower seeds and soil, and are used to help reseed natural areas. The clay protects the seeds from birds and insects, while the soil provides nutrients and organic matter.

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

There is limited parking at our shelter. Street parking is available but is limited to two hours. Parking is available at 199 S. Raymond Ave., just one block north of the shelter.
