Black History Speaker event: Resilience in the Face of Adversity

The Social Work Students' Association (SWSA) is a student run organization for Social Work Students studying at the University of Lethbridge. SWSA is involved with two yearly fundraisers and numerous community events.LPIRG is a student-funded, student-directed, not-for-profit organization providing resources for undergraduate students to engage with environmental and social justice issues.

Social Work Students’ Association and Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group

Three local speakers will discuss their experience of resilence in the face of adversity. Victor Iyilade JR., Stephen Wadenya, and Kirk Maragh have all committed to sharing their personal experience of rising above adversity. After the speeches, the speakers will answer questions from the audience. Light refreshments will be provided.
