Townes &amp; Gospera, a Harlem-based vocal ensemble dedicated to preserving the African American music legacy of spirituals, hymns, gospel, and sacred anthems, for their concert, "Songs That Brought Us Through." This event will honor the profound influence and lasting resonance of these musical styles through poetic narratives. The concert will take place on October 6, 2024, at 4 PM at the historic Church of the Master, located at 81 Morningside Ave, New York, NY 10027. Supported in part by a grant from the Howard Gillman Foundation and the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, this afternoon of beautiful music promises to be a captivating and uplifting experience.
