What will I be doing in the class?

Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it! If you’re skipping class and just ordering the kit – swing by anytime

Do I need to know how to bake?

Nope! No baking history required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!

Question 4

What will we learn in class?

Accepted Answer

You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies – we’ll touch on tips and tricks to make your cookies look even better than they taste (and they taste good)! You’ll also learn different decorating techniques depending on the class theme.

What do I need to bring?

Nothing but a smile! Everything will be provided for you including my (rather tasty) sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? What will I bring home?

Accepted Answer

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours in their own box. I’ll send you an Amazon link with a list of the tools we used in class so that you can recreate these cookies at home. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Question 7

I'm running late for class.  What should I do?

Get to the venue as soon as possible!  I'll do my best to catch you up, but not at the risk of the other class participants falling behind.  But do come as I can't offer you a refund or a class credit if you're late or don't show up.

Question 8

Can just my child take the class?

Accepted Answer

For children over 12, you can drop off your child to take the class and return to pick-up in 2 hours. Due to space restrictions, we do not have room for parents to stand by and watch their children in class, but feel free to stay and enjoy a cuppa joe in another part of Active Passion during class!

Question 9

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. - just select the numbr of desired tickets and I'll get in touch to get everyohe's names.  The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 12 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!

Do you offer private classes?

I'd love to teach a private class for any occasion!  That's even more fun! There is a minimum requirement, but we can work out all the details if you contact me at tessys.sweet.tooth@gmail.com

What age is best for cookie classes?

Accepted Answer

Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents - come on in and have some cookie fun with us! Our in-person classes are great for any age; however, kiddos under 12 will need a parent taking the class as well.
