La Casa de Bernarda Alba - POSTPONED

We are La Brigada Lincoln and we've come to revolutionize this grey city. Today has born a theatre company with three objectives in mind: claim, create and embrace. Reclaim a portrayal of Spain different from what we can see in the media or in a touristic brochure. We want to be a tribute to all of the muses that also fight. Take that shattered cry and turn it into a song. Use our energy to create art and awareness. To create. Invent a new way of understanding theatre, of understanding each other, to take care of us in a world that makes fighting for our ideals so hard. All of this with wide-open arms. Our aim is to be a safe space for everyone who feels alone in this wet country and a place of learning for all of those who want to know what's behind the Spanish flag, the Real Madrid vs Barcelona and the beaches.

Dijimos que veníamos a revolucionar Edimburgo y cumplimos con nuestra promesa: el 20 y 21 de Marzo volvemos con fuerza andaluza al Roxy Upstairs Theatre. Esta vez os abrimos las puertas de la Casa de Bernarda Alba, dándote la oportunidad de vivir de forma única el drama de la mujer rural enjaulada.
 
Nos alejamos de tópicos para traeros la versión más sincera y desgarradora de la obra. La habéis leído, probablemente la habréis visto, pero nunca la habéis sentido como lo haréis con nosotros.

We promised to revolutionize Edinburgh and we are doing it: on March 20th and 21st, we are back with Andalusian strength to the Roxy Upstairs Theatre. In this production, we are opening the doors of Bernarda Alba's House, in a human gaze into the drama of incarcerated rural women.
 
We are drifting away from clichés to bring you the most sincere and heartrending version of this play. You may have read the book, you have probably seen a version of this play, but we can assure you, you have never felt its as you would do it with us.
