A group exhibit curated by Norwest Gallery of Art exploring the  “Return of the Jedi"  and "The Mandalorian" in the great, Star Wars.

JOIN US to celebrate the opening of our inaugural Star Wars group exhibition and meet the talented artists behind the exceptional works on display. Immerse yourself in the ambiance by wearing iconic costumes, and submerging yourself in the world of Star Wars, during the opening party. Indulge in delectable small bites and refreshments. ABOUT THE EXHIBIT: From the very beginning, the Star Wars fandom was diverse, even though the first movie was not. Episode IV: A New Hope included no human characters of color. However, with the introduction of Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams, in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, diversity began to take root, and Lando became a significant character in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The prequel and sequel trilogies have continued to increase diversity in the central storylines. This exhibit explores a diverse depiction of Star Wars through the lens of its artistic fans, from Afrofuturism to the study of life beyond the galaxies. It showcases works that acknowledge and celebrate the representation within the fandom of Star Wars.
