One of the “Best Small Theater Companies in DC”-dcistAstro Pop has been bringing artists and audiences together for over a decade to create unique and off-beat entertainment. The group specializes in short-run, high-impact, event-style theater.  Their credits includeAmerica The Game Show(since 2016),Elvis’ Birthday Fight Club(since 2011),  andCountdown to Yuri’s Night(2008 - 2015). They have also done wacky side stuff like concocting crazy floats for DC’s Funk Parade.

The 2025 Fight Roster is TOP SECRET, but to give newbies a taste of what's in store, we can disclose that past matches have included Taylor Swift vs Jason, The Golden Girls vs Florida Man, The Supreme Court vs The Supremes, Princess Leia vs Xena Warrior Princess, My Little Pony vs Leatherface, and Freddie Mercury vs The Queen of England. <h3>The Legend of Fight Club</h3>The punch-drunk logic of Elvis' Birthday Fight Club is that "Commodious" (The King's toilet) makes Elvis' dying wish a reality: that people not only celebrate his birthday with cake and quaaludes, but also with back alley fisticuffs and "hot tah-tahs." Commodious has assembled the best "Elvis" he could afford . This year he scored him a new hot sidekick, Betty O’Hellno. These two hosts oversee a subversive, surreal, and silly annual brawl to honor The King of Rock and Roll.
