Our  Mill Talks series features FREE lectures and panel discussions on topics related to the Industrial Revolution, innovation across disciplines, and the mission of the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation. Sponsored by the Lowell Institute.

Join us for a Tech Talk about our new series of short animations on the history of the Boston Manufacturing Company, designed to educate and entertain audiences of all ages, with a particular focus on middle school students.Waltham animator Macy Lawrence will discuss the research, design, and animation process, and the event will include a screening of the short filmsMacy Lawrence is an animator based in Waltham, Massachusetts. She is currently an Art Director for Cengage/National Geographic Learning. In 2024 she will complete a master’s degree in Digital Media Studies from Harvard University's Extension School.Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys learning about history and spending time on Cape Cod. Tech Talks at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation are free and open to the public and are made possible by the generous support of the <a href="http://www.lowellinstitute.org/" title="http://www.lowellinstitute.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lowell Institute</a>.

<h1>Event FAQ &amp; Directions</h1><h3>What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?</h3>There is NO Museum Visitor parking at the Francis Cabot Lowell Mill facility where we are located. Museum staff hours vary during the week, but someone will be available to answer any calls the day of the show.<h3>Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?</h3>Yes, we do not need to verify identity upon presentation of the ticket.
