Join us to provide feedback on the future of San Mateo!

Community members have shared ideas on what kinds of housing, jobs, and transportation improvements are needed, and where. These ideas have been used to help create three draft alternative scenarios for San Mateo's future!

The City is updating the General Plan, which is a road map for the City’s future (through 2040). The General Plan contains policies that will be used by future decision makers regarding topics such as housing, transportation, safety, parks and open space, and how the city adapts to climate change. Community input is a vitally important part of the process to update the General Plan.
