Where do I park?

Yeah, parking can be a little bit of a challenge.  Handicap Parking is available in the front of the Bret Harte Theater.  Anywhere at Bret Harte High School or the Aquatic Center are good spots. Parking on Highway 49 is ok.  Be thoughtful if parking at adjacent businesses.

Will there be food?

Accepted Answer

Of course!  You can expect a small variety of foods and drinks for sale at the Bret Harte Theater.  And, you can consume these to your heart's content in the lobby or outside the theater.  However, be sure to finish eating and drinking before you return to your seat in the auditorium.

Question 3

May I come and go, inside and outside the theater, during the festival?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  You will be given a wristband to wear showing that you are a welcome and valued festival goer, and you may come and go as you please.

How do I submit my film for consideration at the Wild & Scenic Film Festival?

How is this affiliated with the flagship national Wild & Scenic Film Festival?

Accepted Answer

The Calaveras Film Festival is an On Tour presentation of the flagship 5 day festival in Nevada City.  We are able to bring some of the best, award winning films from the big festival, and bring them to our hometown as a fund-raising event for Calaveras Community TV.  Plus, locally produced films!

What local films will be shown?

The actual film agenda has been finalized! Locally produced films include films by David Vassar, Nicholas Lefler, Mikey Weir, OARS, Ria Rice-Lawson, Chris Stevenson, Joel Metzger and UTICA Water, Ed Lark, and Backcountry Discovery Routes.
