This event is all about celebrating the incredible strength and resilience of women. Whether you're looking to network, gain insight from our powerful panel, or simply enjoy a delicious brunch, this is the place to be. There will also be women-owned vendor booths to explore and shop!Get ready to glow up and embrace your inner power alongside like-minded individuals. See you there!Meet the panel:Simone Adkins, a licensed therapist (LMFT) who supports women in their healing journeys. At her private practice in Benicia, she specializes in trauma, anxiety and stress management. In her work to heal from her own traumas she became highly interested in working with women to develop a healthy relationship with themselves: Her desire is to promote women's sense of freedom, self-knowledge and well-being on their terms. She uses a holistic approach that includes somatic (the body) techniques, education and all aspects of the whole person. Simone loves yoga and became a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) to support the women she serves. She values self-acceptance, genuine connection and free will.Latoya Love, Motivational Speaker"As a proud mother of two Spelman College graduates, I have experienced the joy of nurturing and guiding the next generation. As an entrepreneur, I bring joy to others through my business, Love is Sweet, where I create unforgettable parties with customized treats and candy tables. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare/management and a specialization in mental health, I am dedicated to supporting others as a life coach and advocate. My passion now is my new foundation called, “Divine Future” to empower parents and high schoolers, sharing guidance on the college application process and connecting them with valuable mentors. Through my experiences and expertise, I aim to elevate others, helping them navigate life's challenges and achieve their full potential."Shannon Seay, Education Specialist|Non-Profit Founder, is known for providing environments that foster inclusion, family, home, and educational advancement for all the children and families she serves. She worked with Contra Costa County as a Youth Development Specialist, and later opened a well-known Child Care Program in Napa County, GiGi Bears Family Childcare. She later returned to school to obtain a teaching credential as an Education Specialist in Special Education and a master's in urban studies, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in 2024 from Touro University. She saw a declining trend of marginalized children and families being left behind and the achievement gap expanding at an alarming rate and believes that she has been called to serve in this capacity. Though there are accolades that Shannon possesses, the one that matters the most is the footprint that she leaves behind and the legacy that follows it. Her claim to fame is to be a woman of valor, a sister who is a keeper, and a lifter who walks in her purpose designed by her Heavenly Father.Michelle Raiford, Reverend|Certified Licensed Christian Counselor|Motivational SpeakerRev. Michelle Raiford's journey from Vallejo, California, to becoming a beacon of hope embodies faith, perseverance, and purpose. In 2001, she answered her divine call, founding E.V.E. International Ministries, LLC to empower women facing life challenges.An Ordained Minister, Certified Licensed Christian Counselor (A.A.), Life Coach, and Licensed Chaplain, Michelle combines spiritual guidance with practical support. She's pursuing Psychology and Social Work at Houston Christian University to further her mission.As Membership Engagement Coordinator at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and a Motivational Speaker, Michelle inspires women to realize their God-given potential. Her life demonstrates that with faith and determination, any woman can become a force for positive change. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." -Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)April Wakefield-Spikener, Poet| Love and Life Coach, was born and raised in Oakland, California. A writer since childhood, in 2017, April released her first poetry book, Internal Monologue: A poetic journey through Love and Life. Her second book, Butterfly: Poetry for the Soul, was released in February 2019, and her third, Human., was released on April 2, 2022. April launched her community service project, “Love Over Everything,” in 2017. Through the Love Over Everything Project, April and friends provide bag lunches to Oakland’s unhoused population. To date, over 700 people have been served.April has participated in events at Barnes and Noble Bookstores, headlined Open Mic events, and also shared her work with children and the community. She has been featured on KTVU Channel 2 News and in online magazines such as Voyage LA, Bold Journey, and Canvas Rebel. April obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from San Jose State University in 2002, and currently maintains a full-time day job in her field of study.

During this first hour, everyone will be invited to mingle, shop the vendors, eat some food, and play a few connection & icebreaker games.
