Volunteer to Help Students Learn to Networking at Washington Business Week

Washington Business Week programs provide opportunities for high school students to learn about the fundamentals of business while building job skills. We conduct week-long residential programs at three college campusesin the summer, three cities in Poland, one city in Belarus, and offer our in-school programs in rural areas throughout Washington state during the academic year. At each program, students undertake hands-on projects providing them the opportunity to operate a business and create a new product.

Join us after work, in this mock networking event, you'll meet high school students as they learn the skill of professional networking.

Northwest University, Academic Center Patio

Washington Business Week (WBW) teaches students professional, leadership, and finance skills over the course of weeklong intensive educational programs where students are put in real world situations and given the oppourtunity to perform. Over the week, students meet professionals from all industries and hear their stories. Our networking evening is one of the best ways for students to connect with people from careers they might want to work, while also learning how to network in professional settings.In this two hour after work mock networking event, we'll serve you and the students mocktails (or at least lemonade) as you chat with students in a casual setting.

Agenda

As you arrive to Northwest University, we'll get you situated and tell you more about what to expect. Please ensure you've arrived by 4:15pm.

Arrival & Instructions

Students will be given tips on how to network and then they'll spend the evening networking with you, our business professionals.

Student Networking

After students have departed, you'll have a chance to meet the business professionals who you spent the evening with. This also gives us an opportunity to thank you for your time spent volunteering.
