Empire Outlets and the Pride Center of Staten Island invites you to a pride celebration, The Other Side of the Rainbow: Disco Party. The celebration will be hosted by Flotilla DeBarge of HBO&#x27;s Wig!This event will take place from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Empire Outlets in their VIP Room - (Third level - Near Jockey). This event will be hosted by world renowned entertainer and actress in HBO’s WIG documentary, Flotilla DeBarge &amp; L&#x27;Unicorns of Staten Island. Several performers from the film will be in attendance and host a special VIP performance.Due to limited space and high demand, tickets will be sold at $50 per person on a first-come, first-served basis. All proceeds will go to L&#x27;Unicorns and The Pride Center of Staten Island. Come join us for an unforgettable evening of cocktails, entertainment, and hors d&#x27;oeuvres!From 5:30 - 6:30pm, Empire Outlets and the Pride Center of Staten Island will also be hosting an exclusive FREE pre-screening of WIG, an HBO documentary with a Q&amp;A session presented by producer Jack Turner. Wig showcases the personalities and performances that inform the ways we understand queerness, art and identity today. The documentary explores the origins and the influence of the historic Wigstock Festival, an annual drag festival that glamorously signaled the end of summer for New York’s gay community for almost 20 years. It is a celebration of New York drag culture, featuring Lady Bunny, Charlene Incarnate, Flotilla DeBarge, Kevin Aviance, Neil Patrick Harris, William, Linda Simpson, Naomi Smalls, and Tabboo!Special thanks to the event sponsors: Empire Outlets, the Pride Center of Staten Island, Partners in Sound Productions, Vinum, Beso Restaurant and The Stone House.Tickets are $50 per person*!*Proceeds will go to The Pride Center of Staten Island.ABOUT THE PRIDE CENTER OF STATEN ISLANDThe Pride Center aims to enhance and sustain this by providing programs that cultivate community; advocate for LGBTQ interests; educate and empower; and provide social support.
