Plastic waste is a massive crisis. We produce nearly 400 million tons of plastic globally each year. What does that look like? Over 65 million pounds of plastic will be generated in the next 60 minutes. Worse still? Less than 9% of plastics are recycled globally.That means a staggering amount ends up polluting our oceans, parks, and communities. With approximately 8 million tons of plastic waste entering our oceans each year, the situation is dire.
