Summer Writing Workshops

Get organized, journal and explore your creative side with a selection of online writing workshops. Zoom in from anywhere to get in your dose of creativity and summer fun.

Invest an hour of your time to plan your creative work. This workshop will include discussion and instruction but the bulk of the time will be spent on doing the work of organizing and planning your creative work. Participants are welcome to offer suggestions of alternative methods and/or work however they are most comfortable. The goal is to leave with a better picture of creative projects currently or soon to be on your plate. And to at least start creating a plan on the next steps to completing them. You might need to spend additional time to refine the details and plan further.I’ll provide a quick and easy system for organizing projects by size, priority and expected duration. We’ll pick out the most important projects, either currently or soon to be in progress and identify the first few tasks toward completing it. Lastly, we’ll work on creating a flexible weekly routine to help keep us on track toward our goals. Worksheets outlining the organization and planning process will be provided for use during the workshop.Workshop Guidelines:Workshops are a confidential space; participants agree not to share discussion outside of the workshop. All participants will be treated with equal respect; including the facilitator who will be an active participant. We will listen to each other without judgment or prejudice. All participation is voluntary, you are never obligated to share anything unless you want to. Small groups between 5-10 participants. Be prepared to actively participate in discussions; you may unmute or use the chat to ask questions or respond and while not mandatory being on camera is appreciated.Workshop cost is pay what you can donation; suggested amount is $10-$20.WORKSHOP WILL NOT BE RECORDED.
